Hand me my stethoscope I am going to be a Medical Assistant!

I got the job!!! I went in for my second interview and met with a few of the doctors and they said they really liked me and thought I would do an awesome job. I am really happy they have so much confidence in me hopefully I will be able to catch on really fast and not stress out too much. Tomorrows is OB day which means all the people they see are pregnant. They told me they will have about 100 women come in, all pregnant. Some would say holy cow I didn't even know there were that many pregnant people, to them I would say come to my college ward and you will see about 75% of them there:) They asked if I could come in tomorrow and try to get the fill of it and I said sure so from about 1 to 3 I will be working like crazy trying to learn all the ropes. They told me I would need to get some scrubs to wear since that is the uniform there. I called Moss and told him I got it and he was really excited for me:) I love how he gets excited about things that happen to me. He said well lets go buy you some scrubs, he was smiling the whole time and handing me all sorts of cute outfits. Thanks Honey! Bonnie and Aaron were really nice and took me and Moss out to dinner to celebrate the good news. It was really fun! Thanks guys!!! We went and saw Baby Mama too....very fitting for the new job. I will just say that you need to see it if you have not already, it is hilarious. I have not laughed that hard in a movie in a long time. Moss and Aaron were even cracking up to haha good times. We came home and Moss wanted me to do a fashion show of my new outfits so here are some pictures of what I will be wearing from now on! Hope I like them! (I got bored at the end and started to pose some, Moss let me borrow his cool tool!)

Teller or Medical Assistant?!?!?!?

Some exciting things have gone on this week and its only Tuesday! I had an interview at U.S. Bank on Monday afternoon and I was feeling okay with it. The lady really liked me and set up a second interview for today at 11. I later was looking around on the internet and found a job opening at an OB/GYN Doctor office. I was really excited about that and sent my resume in with a little bit of hope they would call me back. Well I was trying to figure out if I really wanted the bank job if they offered it to me and I just decided to sleep on it. Well this morning right after I woke up I got a call from the Doctors office. I was so EXCITED!!! The lady asked me a few questions over the phone and ask if I could come into the office later today. I said yes! So I went and took my Humanities final... what a joke! I hope I pass:) Then I went to the interview at the bank and it went ok...its a lot different when a guy interviews you compared to a girl. They are not as friendly. He was all about business which was fine with me because I was mostly excited about the other interview I had afterward. I got to the office and was pretty nervous because I want it so bad! The lady came out and got me and was way friendly and just said I know you don't have much experience in this field but I really feel good about you, your resume just really stuck out to me. That was really good to hear because I felt way good about the job compared to the teller one. The lady said she would call me back later today and let me know what the doctors thought. I was so nervous and excited! This is like my dream job. You even get to wear scrubs! She said that I would be able to like set up and help with ultrasounds and do a bunch of other hands on stuff. Hopefully my next post is good news!

Well I just got a call from the lady and I am going in for a second interview at 4! If I do good there they want me to be Medical Assistant for the job! HOLY COW THIS IS AWESOME!

"Is this really what normal people see?"

This morning I had the awesome opportunity to go to the eye doctor. Usually people hate to go to any kind of doctor but I love it! Maybe its because all the attention is on me I don't know but its so fun! The only bad part is that I have to get that puff of air in my eye. That is never fun but it's only one second of discomfort and it is worth it. Moss and I finally got some health insurance so I was able to go and have it not cost one billion dollars. For the last few days I have been wearing my glasses that I got in 9th grade and needless to say they were not very updated to my current prescription. I could barley see much of anything that was far away but it got me through the days until my appointment. Anyways when I got there he was asking me how my contacts were working for me and I said just fine. He said ok we will see about that. I go into the dark room, Moss says thats why I loved to go is because I get to be alone in a dark room with a guy...whatever Moss!!:) He did a few test and in a couple minutes I was completely blind. I was a little confused about that but after my eyes had gotten used to all the lights and weird things he was doing to them I could see again kind of. He showed me my current prescription of contacts compared to what a normal person is seeing and holy cow! The first words out of my mouth were "Is this really what normal people see?". He laughed and said yes. I remember feeling this feeling when I first got contacts 3 years ago but my eyes have slowly gotten worse and I got used to it. The first time I wore them back in 10th grade I never knew that this world was so pretty! God certainly did a good job at making normal people who can see well! Moss probably thinks I am really weird because every time we go outside I just stop and look around. I try to explain to him what it is like but he doesn't understand cause he has like perfect vision. I even squinted his eyes really tight and said this is what I see. He didn't much appreciate that...jk he is a good sport. I tried to look around and give you an idea of what i see but I couldn't find anything so just as a gage you can look at the chart at the top...I cannot see clearly anything below the 20/50 line while I am siting 20 feet away. Good times huh? Thank goodness for Dr. Croft! I even got new lenses for my glasses too:) Yes! They said because my prescription was going up my lenses would be a lot thicker but if I paid extra I could get thinner ones. I decided on the thinner ones so I don't look to nerdy and make people think I am really smart. We wouldn't want any of that.

Blankets and watches...

Moss and I went to the fabric store awhile ago cause I like to see what is out there. I know its weird but there are 24 hours in a day and you have to feel them with something right?Also I have a craft room now so I need to fill it with something so I don't look stupid.
Anyways I found the cutest baby fabric EVER!!! I could not decide on weather I wanted to get the pink or the blue so Moss let me buy both! I thought I got just enough for a little baby quilt
but turns our I got a little extra...It work out great though and I have made some little pillows

and a little framed stitched moon.
I am still working on a few other ideas but this is what I have so far. I hope this style is still in fashion in five years when I need to use it:)

P.S. Moss and I went and got some cereal last night and we went to have a bowl and Moss found this awesome Barbie watch in it! I was so excited!!! I have not found a prize in my cereal for so many years I forgot they existed. Now I know you are all very jealous but if you leave a comment I will let you borrow it for a day maybe we will have to work out some kind of schedule or something so everyone can have a turn. I will work one up right now!

This is what I do...

If any of you know me at all you will know that I get bored very easily and weird stuff can happen when I do. Moss was getting ready for bed and I went into my closet to change into some PJ when I saw some of my old prom dresses and my wedding dress. I couldn't resist! I first put on my dress that I wore to homecoming it was bright blue with sparkles on it. It still fit! Well almost:) But don't worry I am working on that I have lost almost ten pounds since I started working out! I would of taken pictures but they were not garment friendly. I wasn't like a slut or anything all my dresses had sleeves but just like an inch too short. I then tried on the one I wore to Senior ball...that dance was interesting that is for sure. Definitely not my favorite, but at least I got to go:) I then put on the one I wore to Joanna's wedding and Jr. Prom. It fit perfect! I showed Moss all of these of course and he just laughed and said "NICE Christie, looks good." He is a really funny kid and is good at humoring me:) Then it was time to put on the big white one! I know it's only been just over a year since I wore it but I was still glad to see it fit. Now obviously this one was garment friendly so I was able to take some pictures. I hope you enjoy! I know some of them look lame because I am not model and just look like a dork but I had to take some glamor shots in this house since its freaking gorgeous!

I really think I need to do some more glamour shots with my friends from high school. If you w
ere there you know what I am talking about. I think one night we should all dress up really fancy and take some good shots out by the pool and the balcony! Let me know!

Put This Kitchen To Use!

This evening Moss and I decided to hire an in house chef to cook some dinner for us...I am totally kidding! But we did have Bean's friend Garret cook us some way good food. He was the head chef at The BBQ Bistro and is now the assistant head chef at the Painted Pony, needless to say he knows what to do in a kitchen. Good thing to because I have not gotten even close to using this kitchen like it should be. I did make some steak the other day and boiled some water. I am getting so good:) Anyway here are a few pictures of the night. Moss claimed he was in charge of the kitchen and making sure everything was going perfect but in reality he was just walking around asking what is that:) I just watched mostly but I did pose for this picture holding some noodle stuff before it was shoved into this weird looking machine. I am not really sure what Bean was thinking about this whole thing...Garret was going crazy at the stove and almost burned our house down just kidding he didn't even come close but it looked really cool. He made some mushrooms that were really good. I usually hate them but they were pretty tasty.
I wasn't really sure what was going on here all I knew was he needed a hanger, I was a bit confused at first but then...wait I am still confused oh well they tasted good.
Moss really liked it a lot and I think he would hire a chef permanently:) I guess for now my grilled cheese will have to do. The presentation of it was awesome too I felt so fancy!
Well after our feast Moss studied and I played some pool by myself. I know you are all thinking gosh why can't I be as cool as Christie and play two people games all by yourself. I guess there is only room for one of me in this world. Probably a good idea:)

Some Pool Fun!

A few weeks ago Moss and I babysat Bonnie's kids and after much begging the kids convinced us to go swimming over at our house. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work too.

Porter refused to leave his house without putting on all of his gear so he would be fully prepared to have some fun swimming, it was really funny to watch him walking around in those flippers.
Porter and Madison have pretty much become fish since starting swim lessons and are pretty sure they can swim all day long so it was hard to keep up with them but once we put the jets on in the pool they got warn out pretty fast trying to swim against them. Moss then told Porter he should jump in from the rocks. He was a little reluctant at first but then finally did it and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

He even got brave enough to do it without a life jacket as long as Moss was there to catch him.
I was really impressed when Madison was brave enough to do it because when we went swimming at summit awhile ago she wouldn't even jump off the side of the pool.
Brayden pretty much didn't want anything to do with the water at all. He just sat on the side and laughed and would stick his hand in ever now again. I didn't notice it until after I got out but most the time he was standing on Moss' chemical testers so he would be high enough to see. It was really funny!!!
We finally got him to come into the jacuzzi where it was nice and warm. He is used to taking really warm bathes at his house so I think he felt at home a bit more there.
Then there was Ryan who just loved to swim around as long as he had a death grip on your shoulder:) He really did like it though I think. Especially when we put him in a little floating things and tried to swim him up to the jets. He was pretty much white water rafting. Overall it was a lot of fun. Stressful at time but really fun we are always glad to have some water fun with the kids!

Happy Birthday to me!

So yesterday I turned 20...thats sounds pretty weird to me! It was a really good birthday. It started off with Moss making me breakfast. He is so cute, he told me I could not get out of bed until he was done and he also let me decide what time we were getting up in the morning. He understand how much I love sleep I guess. After Breakfast we went to TJ MAX where Moss said I could buy a decoration for our house. It actually turned into two haha. I got a sign that says its a wonderful life that is a perfect color for our front room and also a cute block of wood shaped like a close pin that says "don't pin the laundry on me". I am excited for them! I love TJ Max it always has a bunch of treasures to find that not many people know about. We then went over to Costco and bought some household stuff and then headed home. After we were home for about 10 minutes I heard a little knock on our door and saw the top of Ryan's head I was like what the heck? I opened the door and he handed me a little monkey cup. I was a little confused until I saw Porter and Madison running up with other wrapped presents.
They just kept coming and coming until I couldn't even hold them all.
It was awesome I felt pretty sweet! The kids kept trying to shove them in my arms but there was no more room left. It was really funny. Bonnie and Joanna were the masterminds of it all! Thanks guys!!! I opened all the presents and got some interesting but fun stuff! That little pink water can is so sweet! Later in the night I filled it up like ten times and water my whole backyard, even some weeds cause I was having so much fun. Moss says there is a water system back there but I still wanted to do it. It works really good actually!
Moss had to go to a meeting so I hung out with Bonnie for awhile which is always fun! When we met up again I went to sit in the front seat and there was a bag there. Moss said Happy Birthday and I opened it up. There were some starburst and skittles and sweetish fish and a receipt. I was a little confused at first but then I read it. It was a receipt from Furniture Row that said Moss had bought a Sofa Table so go with the rest of our furniture in our house. I was really excited! There is a perfect place for it in our house! I love getting new furniture!! Later that night Moss and I went to Samurai 21. Mmmm Good! I love how much Moss loves it there:) We then came home and watch our first movie ever in the theater room. It was really cool. We watched No Reservation and ate the whole box of Hot Tamales that Bonnie and Jo had bought me. Overall it was an awesome birthday and I am glad I have such cool people to share it with!

Who knew Karaoke could make you cry?

I have a bunch to say cause lots has happened this past little while but I will do a quick blog before Moss comes and picks me up. On Monday night Tiffani came over and took a tour of our house. It was so fun to see her again and be able to talk to her about all the great times we have both been having! So shout out to Tiffani for being so cool!!!
After Tiffani left I decided to sing some hardcore karaoke now that I can sing as loud as I like! It is awesome. Well I started to sing a song called "She Thinks She needs Me" by Andy Griggs. Needless to say I was singing horrible like I usually do:) and Moss came over and started to sing a few of the words it was so cute! Well I continued singing other songs the best that I could. I just have to mention I am really good at signing Maroon five songs. I guess I have a good guy voice...that's too bad. Anyway, Moss came over with the laptop and said I have a song for you to listen to. He put the song on and said but you need to dance with me. Now many of you know Moss and know that he doesn't do random things like this very often. Well we started to dance and he started to sing to me. Here are the lyrics...

When we first started to hang out he told me that he loved depressing country songs so I started to listen to some country songs and came across this happy love song. I was listening to it when I decided I wanted to marry Moss so yeah that's why I love this song. I always sing all of it and then just let Moss sing the part that goes..."She teaches me to be a better Man" I love his country twang when he sings it!!!

Wedding Bells

As my last post said this weekend we headed up to Salt Lake for Jay and Brynn's wedding. It was fun to see everyone again and spend lots of time with Moss. They had their reception in a green house. It was really cool! I was kinda worried about it when I heard where it was going to be I was afraid there were going to be birds in there flying around and maybe poop on my head. But luckily this did not happen. Moss and I basically spent the night eating a lot of bread sticks and taking pictures of everyone. Moss took lots of pictures of me cause he had his parents camera and I had Brynn's camera so I don't have the pictures I took of him. So for today there are going to be a lot of pictures of me. I guess this will even it out because I always post pictures of Moss and not many of me.
Before the reception started Moss and I wandered around and had Rhett (Bean's friend) take some pictures of us. It was really funny walking around in high hills in the gravel I kept sinking down into them. Moss and I look pretty good when we take the time to get all dressed up:)
I told Moss to find his favorite plant and he choose this one because it looked like the tree of life kinda.
Moss and I spent a lot of time on this bench through out the night watching as people walked in and out. I could not stand for very long because my shoes were killing me!
