How to Make a Massive Stocking

Awhile back Moss and I were talking about how Christmas would be different since we have a kid this year. Moss then told me he had came up with an idea about a rule we would have in our house. He went on to explain that on the baby first Christmas they would have to be able to fit in their stocking. Since Brenden was born in January this means he would almost be a year old during his first Christmas. Also Brenden is kind of a bigger kid thank other kids his age (97 percentile to be exact). I definitely has my work cut out for me so I got to work.

First I had Moss print out a stocking that I could trace. It took up 6 pages...

Next I cut it out

Pinned itThen sewed awayand away...Next it was time to add the fur on time, which was getting all over the place just so you know. It was really soft though and Brenden loves it.Brenden was getting so excited! Moss is a good daddy and bathes Brenden most the time.
Finally it was done! I think I am going to add his name somehow but I have not got to that yet.

Moss was pretty impressed I could make it that big and it look good. I knew I could do it though, I can't do much else but when it comes to easy crafts I figure them out pretty good:)

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving break has been a lot of fun this year. It started off on Wednesday when we went climbing and repelling out at Snow canyon. Brenden didn't know what to think of all the sand. But he sure looked cute!

I did notice some sweet tracks in the sand from different animals but this one was for sure my favorite by far:)

I call it a buddy track. It was so funny and so cute! He is getting pretty good at scooting around he can now even do it in the sand.

Moss did some good climbing, Brenden and I cheered him on.

While we were making our way over to the repelling place Brenden got a little sleepy and needed to take a break and get something to eat and rest a bit.

He ended up taking a nap in his car seat for a little bit.

Moss was excited to do some repelling. I love to watch my boy do what he loves.I am usually too scared to do anything adventures but Moss asked me if I would repel for him. He even said "Please Honey, do it for me." I could not say no to that, so Moss and I went down side by side with some equipment connecting us together. Sadly we didn't get any pictures because we were both doing it together and Brenden is not of age to snap some shots yet. But I promise it happened. I have about 8 witnesses. Thanksgiving day was a great day too. This year we had dinner at my parents house. One fun part was we were able to hang out with Makayla. Sadly though she had to spend most of her time in her suitcase. Brenden sure was curious though, as any little boy would be.

Moss and I both enjoying it too!Thanksgiving day is my most favorite day, not because of the food really but mostly because it means family. I am so thankful for the big families that both Moss and I come from. I am also thankful for the little family we have now. I am so thankful for Moss and the wonderful husband he is to me. He puts up with so much and handles it like a champ. I am so happy I get to be with Him and Brenden FOREVER!!!

"Thing one"

When Moss and I first got together Ryan (Bonnie's son) would wear these sweet jammies. Moss decided that he looked like "thing one". Everytime I would watch Bonnies kids and have to get them ready for bed I would always dress either Ryan or Brayden in this cute pj's. Brayden would wear them when they were pretty much skin tight and looked so so cute! Moss was very excited when Bonnie gave them to us. We thought it would be forever before Brenden would be able to wear them . Well don't worry forever came and now our little bud gets to be "thing one". I think he looks so dang cute in them!

Weekend at the Cabin

Last week after Moss got off work we headed up to the Cabin the Pine Valley. Moss was so excited he couldn't stand it. It was pretty to watch. On the way up we picked up some good camping food, at KFC then made our trip and arrived.

After getting settled we got all our warm clothes on and went on a drive out to the lake to take a walk. Once we got there it was so dark and I swear the moon was not shining and light on the situation. Moss said it's ok just get out of the car and your eyes will adjust. Reluctantly I did and we started to walk towards the lake. I kept waiting and waiting but I could not see anything! So there I was walking blinding attached to Moss' arm towards a freezing cold body of water. Awesome right? At least Moss thought it was pretty right? We hung out on the dock for about two minutes until I convinced Moss it was too scary and we headed back to the car.Back at the cabin we watched the movie Up and then went and got some Dessert and the restaurant up there. It was a cute little place, they even has some people singing and playing the guitar. We got some apply pie and some fried stuff to share. The mozzarella sticks were really good but then they had like fried mushrooms which were pretty gross.

When we got back we played some Uno. Brenden wanted to play too so by the middle of the game the cards were scattered everywhere. Moss and I just had to remember what the class card was before Brenden grabbed it. It was pretty funny.

We then headed to bed. Brenden slept pretty good which was very nice. Luckily there was a rocking chair up there to rock him to sleep. I don't know where it came from but oh well it worked.

In the morning we made some pancakes and has a yummy breakfast.
Brenden kept trying to escape the cabin and once he actually made it all the way outside.

We then headed home to have some weekend here at home. It was a fun quick get away. We are excited for when Pine Valley gets some good layers of snow so we can use our cross county skies we just bought. That should be an adventure:)

P.S. Usually Brenden is pretty good when it comes to smiling at the camera but this trip he did not do so good. It seemed every picture I took he looked like a weirdo... haha. Here are some examples...

Bread makin' Time!

A few nights ago Moss wanted to make some bread. So as any husband does he asked for help. (Well maybe not all husbands but mine did) I am sure he could of figured it out on this own but he wanted the company. It eventually turned into me kneading the dough and him cheering me on. Oh well at least we were doing it together. I have a problem with getting the dough to rise. The first time I made bread it was awesome! It might of been since it was in a college class and the teacher was telling us exactly what to do. Since then it has kind of gone down hill. Before the bread was ready to go into the oven Moss minipulated his loaf a bit and it actaully worked out pretty nicely. Here they are all ready to go in...

We all waited patiently to see how they would turn out. Brenden was just so excited!!!

Whew...

Moss is all signed up for next semester. The exciting part is it is the last full semester he will have before his gets his Bachelors in Biology/Psychology! He will need two more classes in the summer that as of now they are planning on offering. We are SO excited!!! When we were talking about taking summer classes Moss was like dang we won't be able to go on a vacation this year. But then we sat there for a second and realized he will be done after summer. He won't have school in the fall which means we could go then. It was so weird to think about haha. There are two blocks in the summer and hopefully both classes with be offered in the same block so he can just get it over with and have some summer time but we will have to see.

His scheldule this semester first started our crappy and then went good and then really bad then awesome and now that is is final it is ok. Thanks to the college constantly changing the classes they were offering and the times. It really angers me when they only offer some classes at night. BUT I am very excited they are at least offering them! So Moss will have one night class that will be lame but other than that it's not too bad. One of his classes is on line so I will get to go to class with him which should be fun:) I am weird like that... Yeah for the seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Round 1

I promised there would be another time when I could show off a picture of Brenden sleeping weird. Last night when I went to check on him this is what I saw. I guess he fell to sleep during a wrestling match with the stuffed dog:) I think the dog was winning...

Getting Big...

Last nighth got Brenden all settle in for bed and walked out the door. Usually after a few minutes he will start to whine for awhile. But last night we didn't hear anything and thought maybe we were lucky and he was just so tired he fell to sleep. After about 15 minutes we went to check on him like we do every night to make sure he is still covered up. Well last night when we walked in this is what we saw... He was definitely NOT asleep. He was just having fun playing with his dog and jumping on the side of his bed smiling away. I guess it was time to lower his crib, because Brenden has been a little slow on moving around we have had it at the top since the day he was born. Poor Moss had to be up at 4:30 in the morning but I was too scared he might jump out, well fall. So we got to work and lowered it. Brenden kept trying to help like a good boy. Moslty he was so excited to be up at 11:00 at night. Can ya tell?

We got it put all back together and it was time for bed for real this time. But it was kind of sad cause he could not reach the stars anymore.
We headed to bed but I was having a hard time falling to sleep so after about 15 minutes I went back in to check on him and he was not laying down asleep. He was hunched over forward. I guess he sat back up and just got too sleepy to lay back down. I didn't think to take a picture but I am sure there will be other times.

Brenden "Crawling"

Brenden has finally started to be on the move! He is 9 and half months old. He did it for the first time today at Moss' office. It was a nasty floor but I was just so excited I didn't care. He was very dirty afterwards. Tonight we got in on camera and its just so cute. Not the most efficient way but it works for him:)

Halloween 2009

Happy Halloween! This year was extra fun because we had a little one to dress up. Bonnie was nice enough to let us borrow this WAY cute Micky outfit. I thing Brenden looks adorable;)
This year we did as we always do now-a-days and headed over to Heather and Paul ward for the trunk-or-treat. On the way over I realized I had forgotten to get Brenden a candy bucket. I was so sad so we stopped by four different stores and the only one I could find was this sweet one right here... Micky and Wolverine go together right? HAHA Hopefully next year I will remember:)

After making our rounds Brenden helped hand out candy with his dad. Until he realized he has hit the jackpot and kept stealing our own candy.

Near the end we were just hanging out and this guy ran into me. I turned around to say sorry and got a little freaked out...Turned out it was just Timmy looking like Frankenstien. Brenden was a little concerned over this idea.
After awhile he warmed up to him so we got a sweet picture.
Whilst we were cleaning up I was looking around for out stroller and I could not find it anywhere. After searching and asking everyone and thinking someone has stolen it I found it...
Afterwards we got all cleaned up we headed over to Pasta Factory were we ate some delicious food and hung out and had a very fun time.

On the way home we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Lillywhite's to Brenden could trick or treat. We also got a sweet festive Picture.

Now that Halloween is over it is time for my FAVORITE holiday of all. THANKSGIVING! YES!!! Let the season begin. SO EXCITED!!!
