5 Year Anniversary!

Thursday was our 5th anniversary and it was a lot of fun. We did not have much planned for the day because we were going to celebrate it mostly on Saturday. Wednesday night I got to work on pintrest trying to find some ideas. I came up with a sweet idea finally and got to sleep. On Thursday Moss came home for lunch bearing some really pretty flowers.

I thanked him and gave him a kiss then handed him a piece of paper that had a list of coordinates on it and told him if they followed them we would end up at lunch.

We grabbed the gps and loaded up Brenden and got in the car.First we ended up at the Shac. The place where our love began:) I handed him a card with a note inside.

Next was where our reception was.

We then drove to a parking lot in town and Moss was a little confused until I gave him the note. It told how this was the place I was when I made the decision to marry him. Being so young I was a little scared to get married but and I said the next song that comes on the radio will be my answer. Random back story to why I did this. In seminary one year our teacher was telling how he decided to marry his wife and he said the answer came to him in a form of a popular song in his head while he was in the temple one day. I figure if it worked for him it could work for me:) So I turned the radio on and Lips of an angle by Hinder came on. That was Moss' and my song at the time. The rest is history:)

Next we were directed to the temple where the note read, "Thank you so much for taking me here and always keeping your promises that you made to me that day."

Flood street theaters was our next stop because that is where we went on our first official date. We saw the Lake house and held hands and hugged the first time there. I still get excited when Moss reaches for my hand and I love that he does it a lot:)

We then headed to the gas station on the Blvd cause that is the first place we drove together. It was so awkward and fun during the first days together. I love it!

Then we headed to our first home where Moss and I got to figure out how to live together. A few memories there was Moss catching a hand towel on fire trying to cook a potato, me crying because I was not used to living away from home and the best was Moss and I reading a Anita Stansfield book till way late in the night because we both could not put it down haha! I love that Boy!

Now it was time for lunch and we ended up at Ahia Taste of asia. I could not remember the first place we went to lunch together but I did remember coming here sometime near the begginging. We were both so hungry and so happy to get some yummy food.

Moss told me he really liked what I did a lot. He would Kiss me every place we went and say thank you. I loved being able to reminisce a little. Even if Brenden was in the back seat asking if we where to lunch yet every time we stopped haha.

Later that night we got my Mom to watch Brenden and we went to dinner at Anasazi grill. It was delicious as always. We got the cheese fondue and then the chocolate one. We got a lot of us time in since our meal took about 2 and a half hours. It was fun though!

We got a movie to watch, Moss let me get Breaking Dawn Part 1. Then we picked up Brenden and headed home to snuggle up for a movie.

I am so happy Moss is my husband he is the perfect match for me in so many way. He wants to be with me so much which after being married for awhile sometimes in couples that wears off. He will say some night we have not hung out much today want to do something. He always validates my feelings no matter what I am saying. He is an awesome listener and know when to discuss things and when to just nod his head and smile. I LOVE the father he is to Brenden. He is always coming up with fun things for them to do together when he is in charge. I think Brenden secretly like it when I am gone even though he pretends to be sad. He is an awesome example of the man I want Brenden to become. This last year has been a tough one at time but in the long run it has brought us closer together. When we lost our baby he was my rock and I knew we would be ok. He would let me cry when I needed to and let me yell when I needed to. Never judging me or telling me how I should feel.

He is such a hard worker and I love that he is back in school working on his masters so he can make sure our family it taken care of. I know its not his favorite thing to have to do homework again but we both know it will be worth it.

Five years is a long time and a lot has happened in those years both bad and good but I am so glad Moss is always by my side helping me to be a better person. I love you Moss, 5 years down only eternity to go:)

Valentines 2012

Valentines was a lot of fun this year especially with Brenden wishing us a happy Valentines day for like a week before. He seems to be a lot more aware of what is going on when it comes to holiday lately and I love it. My Valentines day started by Moss walking in with breakfast in bed for me. I was super happy about this:) Brenden always find his way into my bed when Moss leaves in the morning and he was still so so sleepy. I know you wish you looked as good as me at 9 in the morning haha ok its not that early but Tuesday Thursday are my non wake up and go to the gym days so I like to sleep in.I asked Moss how is office was and he said AWESOME! The night before I had gone in and did a few things to show him I kind of like him:) That is a candy bar poem on the poster board but he had taken the candy bars off before I could get a picture. I also made him fortune cookies out of felt and put little fortunes in there.

Later that day we handed out Brenden Valentines to his friends he was so excited about it. He even got some back from the cute neighbor girls Kelsee-Maycee. He was happy about that. He kept asking where his was so I made one for him then we put on matching Tattoos. I am pretty much a cool mom now:)

Moss gave me my present before we headed out on a hot date. It was these cute fortune cookies with sprinkles on them. I thought it was so funny that we both did fortune cookies for each other which is a pretty random gift.
We then dropped Brenden off at Joanna's and had a way fun night. We started off with dinner at Ichiban, it was a little weird but fun. It's a seafood buffet which is weird to go for a date but I wanted to go really bad and Moss was up for it. I thought the food was pretty good but Moss was not much of a fan. There were very interesting people there though. I think some pligs where having a ward part or something because they had reserved half the place and there was like 50 of them. We then wandered around Wal-mart (one of our favorite things).

We went and saw The Vow next. It was pretty good and perfect for V-day. It was so fun to spend with my best friend. Yesterday was our Anniversary and I will get into lovey dovey details on that post:)

Brenden is 3!

 

Brenden was so excited for his Birthday this year and kept asking when it was coming. It finally arrive on Friday and he was so excited. The day started off with him asking if Santa came the night before haha. I think he associates getting presents with Santa coming. He kept asking if Santa could come to his party.

I wished him happy birthday all morning long and he kept smiling and jumping around every time. For lunch we invited some friends to go to Mcdonalds and play at the play place. He loved it and even ate most his happy meal.

Moss met up with us after that and we came home and started getting ready for the party. We had just enough time when we were done to go buy a birthday out fit. He refused to let us buy anything but a Lightening McQueen shirt, which made sense since that’s what his party was all about.

 

We then opened a present before everyone got there to keep him happy until the time arrived. He got a power ranger dude on a motorcycle. He was really excited.

I got a little excited this year about decorating but it was so much fun and with the help of Pintrest I make it all by myself:).

The cake, Moss was a little worried if I could pull it off but I so did:)

The “pitata”. That’s what Brenden kept calling it.

He is 3!

The guest finally arrived and Brenden was so excited to see most of his cousins all at one place.

We had Costco pizza and then did the “pitata”. It was a new kind where you just pull the string and one of them dumps the candy out.

We played a few games and then it was then present time. He was really excited! He got some random toys from us and a cool tool book from G&G with the kitty and then Acer and the camera from G&G with the puppies.

We then sang and blew out the candles.

We ended the night with singing some Karaoke. We started off with Brenden’s favorite song “Dynamite” by Tiao Cruz. We took a few more request and everyone sang and had a good time.

After everyone went home we played with his toys a little and then ended the night watching a movie and eating popcorn. One of his favorite things!

We love Brenden so much and he makes our lives so much more meaningful. He always keeps us laughing and is a great little cuddle buddy if you are lonely.

A few things about Brenden

His favorite cartoon is Curious George

He loved popcorn, cookies, CRUTONS, strawberries and carrots.

He loves to be a “worker” outside and build stuff with our scrap wood.

EVERY morning he says  “mama look the sun woke up” then hands me my glasses pushes the hair out of my face and says get up.

One day I told him we were going to go play with his friend Iyrlend and he looked at me and said way excited, “Ironman?”  haha

He is slowly wanting to be potty trained.

He still LOVES his blankets and Diego.

He loved to give kisses and hugs.

If I get angry with him he will say “Hi mama……Hi Mama, why you so mad?” and gets really sad until I say Hi back. It is hard to stay mad at him.

He says so many funny things which I need to be better at writing down. I will try to keep track of that more.

We love our little guy and are excited to see him grow up this year!

Fishing with the Fam!

We had driving by the new fishing park for a few weeks with Brenden asking to go there every time. We finally go him a fishing pole and headed over there one Saturday afternoon. After calling my dad and having him walk us through how to string a fishing pole we were ready to fish.
Moss even got in on it. He serioulsy had his fishing pole in for thirty second and caught one! That is the first fish he ever caught!

Brenden was scared of the fish and watch from a distance, moss made me take the hook out. Next time we will bring Grandpa for that part. Brenden kept catching "baby fishes", it was actually nasty stuff from the lake but it made him happy.
He had so much fun and keeps asking when we can go back with Cam and Brayd. I love doing new stuff with him it is so fun to watch him experience things for the first time. We love out little man and the joy he brings to our life. He always has some funny thing to say or random question that makes us both smile.
