Doing some Wood work:)

It felt really good to be back building stuff again. If I was rich I would build a wood shop and hire Kristi to come help me build all sorts of stuff. I would probably have to have Mr. Matthews come too... We had a lack of place for our clothes in our closet and since we moved in have wanted to build some shelves so I got to work. First I made a trip to Home Depot to get some supplies. Luckily they had some pre-cut wood that would work great for shelves. I just had to get some wood to hold them up. Not many pictures are action picture since I did it mostly while Moss was at work (He was so proud of me). And Brenden is not quite old enough to take pictures yet. I did some painting...

Brenden was a big help at handing me stuff like this level. Usually he did pretty good at getting me what I asked for but every now and again he would hand me something random like a shoe:)
I got one of them up...

I thought I was done but then Moss came in to make them pretty so he gave me some ideas for puttying them and repaint some spots.

After:It was really fun to do and it is SO NICE having more storage. Next we will be putting up a shelf for our shoes in the hall closet and then another shelve in the pantry.

Mothers Day 2010

This Mothers Day was my second year actually being a mom. It started off with Moss making some very good French Toast with Texas Toast. Brenden and I went on a walk around the neighborhood touring the houses that are being built. It was really fun! Later Moss gave me some of my presents before church. I got two books that I wanted. One is called Raising happiness, it is how to raise your children to be happy people. The other is How to get your kids to mind with out loosing yours, Moss' parents suggested it and I am excited about it. Don't mind how beautiful I am...

Church was pretty good although sometimes I hate it when people get up and talk about how easy being a mom is and don't recognize that sometime it is not easy at all and you want to jump out the window:) So I will say it so other people don't feel bad. Being a Mom is hard work! We got cinnamon rolls at church and then were told we did not have the last two classes. It has been tradition in this ward for several years and I love it! We came home and watched the best two years on my other present, a new TV! Our other TV crapped out which is really frustrating cause it was less than four years old. Never get a Westinghouse TV, it had a lot of problems. So on Saturday we went and bought this one at Costco. A 47 inch Phillips. Hopefully it does better. I was just glad it picked up all the stations the other one did.

Later we headed over to my parents house for dinner and gifts for my mom. Then over to Moss' parents for dessert and gifts for Moss' mom and grandma. It was a fun Mothers day!

In other news the other day I was getting some clothes out of the dryer and took them into the other rooms. Moss got home while I was doing that and walked in and heard something in the laundry room and poked his head in and found Brenden sitting in the dryer haha! He came to get me to show me but Brenden had gotten out. So we walked back in there to see if he would do it again and surely enough he did. This time he got a little high centered. Eventually he made it in there. It was so funny and cute! I am just glad I don't have anything other kids to come by and shut the door.

Iron Man 2010

Saturday morning started of extremely early at 2:30 in the AM! My mom was awesome and let us drop of Brenden to her at 3:00. We then headed into Summit picked up a few people and headed out to Sand Hollow. Once there we got all organized and hung out until about 6 when the guards were sent out to the boats and paddle boards and I took my position on the dock (out of the 54 degree water!)

At 6:45 the race began for the professionals and then it was time for the age divisions. There were over 2000 people that started off at the same time. It was so crazy! (I didn't have my camera at this point since I was suppose to be guarding so I stole this picture from the spectrum page)
My job was to watch people near the end and make sure they didn't die and help the people that got pulled out of the water off the boats and jet skies. In other triathlon I have guarded we only had about 3 people quite but this time there was about 40 and they were not in very good shape by the time they convinced themselves they could not do it. We saw a few seizures and a lot of hypothermia. I learned how to use a gurney to that was fun. The nice EMT lady showed me:) After awhile all the excitement was a bit too much and I was hoping everyone else would just finish on there own. Near the end I finally spotted Moss out there on his paddle board. He told me later he figured he paddled about 4 miles going back and forth pulling people out and taking them to the boats. Luckily he was plenty warm though since he had two wet suits on.

He had to give on of his guards a boost too since there board was lame and wouldn't hold them up much. My view from out on the dock...
