Christmas 2008

Moss and I had a very Merry Christmas this year! We spent a lot of time driving to and from different families houses but it was worth it. On Christmas Eve we started out at Moss' parents house where we had a very good Christmas dinner with some of the family. I didn't get any pictures but it sure was good. Next we headed over to my parents house where we had lots of appetizers and a little program where the kids sang. Madison even did a sweet solo.
We even got a family pictures. Don't we look lovely:)
Afterward we exchange gifts with each other. This year Moss and I got to buy for Russell:) We searched and searched for something good and came up with the game "Would you rather" and a book entitled "You might be a redneck if this is the biggest book you ever read". It has a bunch of the redneck jokes. Russ thought it was pretty funny so we did a good job I think.

Timmy and Trini had us this year and Moss got a usb drive that holds a bunch of stuff. I got a clock that is really big and cute. I am excited to hang it up. We also got Uno attack which we played for an hour later that night. It is really fun.

Brenden had Cam this year ( I know he isn't born yet but it evened it out for him to have someone) and gave him some blocks. Doesn't he look excited?

Later on I was walking around and Cam was playing with this zip tie and he thought they were sunglasses, it was pretty funny.

After celebrating with the family Moss and I headed home to have our own little Christmas Eve. Moss opened one present, but this is all you can see of it:)

We then headed to bed and chatted for about an hour because we couldn't sleep from being so excited for the next day to give each other our gifts. I had a BIG surprise for Moss!

On Christmas day I woke up at 6:15 and couldn't go back to sleep, I kept playing with Moss hair and moving around hoping he would wake up enough to want to get out of bed. I was not so lucky though he made me stay in bed until 7. We finally headed out to the living room to start our Christmas morning:) This is what it looked like... We each took turns opening one gift...

Moss got a Nut Cracker and I got the game Sorry. We have already played it twice both winning one game.
Moss got a book called "The boys guide on how to be the best at everything" Brenden gave it to him:)

I got a make-up kit to last me forever! I am really excited!


Moss got a 27" pool table that has everything you need to really play pool!
I got a little digital camcorder to keep in my diaper bag. It will record up to 2 hours at a time. It will be perfect for catching cute things the baby does!

We elected this as the best wrapped present. Moss called it a giant spit wad. It had a really cute sweater from Aeropostale in it:)
Moss got two different book gifts too.
The first and second volume of commentary on the Book of Mormon.




I got some barbie cereal so good and sugary. When we were younger we used to get boxed cereal so moss thought he would bring back the tradition. I was very happy he did!I saved the best present for last. Moss had NO IDEA what it was going to be and he has been wanting one of these ever since they came out. I wrapped in a really big box and added some rice into it so it would feel heavier. I had been keeping this secret for a really long time and was about to burst. Moss was so confused when he pulled out the rice, he was like thanks honey...Then he found a little present wrapped and unwrapped it and he found an Ipod Touch. He face was priceless. I got it on film so don't you worry. We each did each others stockings with Santa's help, moss did a really good job. Swiss cheese and a Lunchable my favorites!!!

After we were done Moss synced his Ipod and we were on our way to Moss' parents house.
We got some really cute blankets for Brenden, a calendar and some sweet leopard slippers for me:) We also got a notebook with pictures and the genealogy for 4 generations back. It is really cool to look through and see where Moss came from.

We also got supe a action figure from princess bride.
We got Bean a magnetic dude to make your own road signs.

Genghis (the cat) got this sweet sweater that I think makes him look like he is headed into Harvard or something.We had a yummy breakfast there and then headed over to my parents house. We hung out there for awhile until everyone got there and then we gave our parents there gift. These sweet bikes! They were really excited so that is good. Moss and I tested them out and they are pretty fun.
We then hung out for awhile longer, Moss played this state puzzle with Madison and I roamed around aimlessly like usual:)
We had a very good Christmas and am now just waiting for Brenden to get here. I have had one contraction:)

Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

Recently Moss and I have been going on lots of walks at night to maybe help get this baby out and its just fun to go on a walk and have no interruptions and just be able to talk. It seems to be working a little because today at our doctors appointment I was checked for the first time and they said I was at a 1 and 50% effaced. She said it was pretty normal, but then I told Bonnie and she said that none of my sisters have ever been anything that soon. That got me a little excited. But we will see, our next appointment is next Monday I will let you know:)
Back to the walking...
This weather has made it a little difficult to just go on walks at random since we would freeze if we did. It has become quite the process to get bundle up enough so we stay warm. Since I am huge none of my jackets really fit so well, it pretty hard to breath sometimes but I haven't died yet. Here we are already to go:

While walking I saw this from far away and thought it was a snowman, turns out it was just a fire hydrant whoops...

It was really fun and I love being able to go on walks with Moss!
Tonight for family home evening we are going to go up to stone cliff and look at all the lights up there. I am excited!

35 Weeks aka Chunky Monkey

Yup you read that right Chunky Monkey according to Moss. Ok he was not referring to how I look now but how I looked when I was three years old. I am in the process of recording all my home videos, 141 to be exact, to DVDs and Moss has finally seen just how fat I was as a child. He is really scared for what I am going to pop out in about a month and I agree with him. I guess we will see, hopefully he takes after his dad and is real little. A girl can hope right? The doctor says he doesn't except him to come before the end of the year, which we are a little sad about considering tax breaks. But we will survive I guess. We have an appotiment on Monday where they will start to check me so I guess its all down hill from there:) I will keep ya'll posted.

We made Gingerbread Houses

Every year we get together with the Woodbury clan to make Gingerbread houses. Recently the kids have taken over having most the fun with them but there are still a few adults that get into it while the rest of them just eat the candy. I have taken it upon myself to keep the spirit alive and make one for Moss and I. I didn't spend too much time on it but overall I think it turned out pretty cute.


Madison loved the idea of have the taffy pulled apart then strung over the house. We both are not quite sure what it was suppose to be but we did it anyways. I am huge so I hope you can still see the house behind my huge swollen hand.

Moss also got a few pictures of Madison and Porter working on theirs so I will put those up too just for fun.

Getting ready for Brenden!

This month we have been doing a lot to get ready for Brenden. On December 6th I had my baby shower that my awesome sister put on for me. Heather made over 100 invitations that were so so cute! It was a lot of fun to hang out with all of them and some friend for an afternoon. Thank you to everyone that came, I really appreciated it:) I got a lot of cute outfits and blankets.

Joanna made me a baby book that is so cool and has lots and lots of pages to put pictures in and write all about Brenden I am really excited to get started on it. Thanks JO!
My Grandma even came down from Payson:)

We had very yummy soup and bread bowls.

Bonnie and Nicole gave me a really good gift card and then I got a few others so afterward Moss and I went to Target and got everything that we still needed. It was really fun to just walk through the store and throw anything we thought we needed into the cart. We came home and put his room all together. We both loved it, it was so much fun. We even made a really late night trip to Wal-Mart to get some storage things to use as a dresser until we can find a good one. Then I will just use it in my craft room to store all my yiz. We got another little stroller to have when we go to stores and stuff because although our Jeep one is freaking sweet its a little bulky to haul around everywhere.

We finally got the room all put together:) I think it turned out pretty dang cute.


Moss is getting a lot of practice being comfy in this chair. He even is getting good at sleeping in it apparently...
We have lots of stuff to keep the baby entertained but with our luck he will probably just want to be held all the time or love to play with boxes or something.


I think we are ready:) We even packed our hospital bag a little bit last night. Moss was so funny walking around the house asking me if I needed to take random things with me. I love that kid:)
