Independence Day 2011

Independence day was lots of fun again this year. In the morning time we went to the park and Brenden played some of the free games there and walk away with some sweet prizes:) He loved the basketball shoot out and actually made one. He loved being there and walking around and telling us where he wanted to go. Moss and Brenden looking cute:)He won two free ice cream cones at Dairy Queen a free pass of the carosell and a free pass to the city pool with hydro-tube!!! haha. After the park we headed over and got our ice creams.We then got our stuff together and headed up to a lake by the black ridge on your way to cedar. When we got there there were some jet skis there which made it a little hard to paddle around but we still had fun.
We towed all our stuff over to the other side of the lake and have a yummy picnic and then headed back.

When we got back we saw this sweet cowboys testing out the waters to see if there truck could make it over the flooded road. The first road there horses across and saw that it went up to their belly's.

They went back to there truck and decided they could totally make it, we were all like uh... not a good idea. Well they got about half way then started to get water coming in from the windows and started to slide off the road haha. I should feel bad for them but they should of known!

We then took a quick shower and headed to the park which we have done almost every year since I can remember with my family.

Brenden was really excited about the fireworks but mostly he just wanted to hang out with Cam and play with this glow stick.

This is my niece Makayla and she is so adorable and has so much personality:) She kept wanting to sit on my lap the whole night.
The fireworks started and Brenden loved them!

After the awesome show we went to Heathers house since they are not allowed in Washington to set off some more fireworks. There friend brought some sweet ones that flew in the sky!Brenden loved playing with Cam and his cars.

I love living in a free country and I love that we have a day to celebrate it. I love getting together with family and am so happy to live so close to them, most the time haha:)

Happy 27th Birthday Moss!

I was all into Moss birthday this year and was super excited to surprise him with lots of fun activities. It started out on Wednesday the night before his birthday when we went to dinner at yummy Red Lobster. I told him I had a coupon that expired that night and that was why we had to go the day before his birthday. We dropped Brenden off at bonnie's so we could just go to dinner, or so moss thought:) Dinner was really good and they have a sweet four course meal for 15 bucks right now! After dinner we wondered around and drove to hurst to check out what they had there, then I said we needed to head home so we got back in the car and I started driving the opposite direction. He ask where we were going and I said I needed to show him something. As we got closer I told him to look in the glove box for a surprise and he found these...

Tickets to see Little Mermaid that night. He got really excited and told me I was really sneaky. I love to surprise him! We got there and hung out until the show started...It was really good and they did some sweet stuff. Moss loved it and that is what mattered most.

We then headed towards home but when we got at the end of the Boulevard I said I had one more surprise and told him to look in the glove box again. This time he found a hotel key:) Moss had gotten a one night stay from work a few months prior and so I used it. Even better was my good friend Bret's husband works there and he upgraded it to the only suite in the place!!! I was really excited to show Moss that and it not just be a normal room. Thanks again Zach and Bret! Earlier that day Brenden and I had gone by and decorated the place to make it more special. Moss was surprised by that too:)

It was really late when we got there but we still took the time to use the awesome huge tub they had in there...
In the morning we got ready and Moss wanted to go pick up Brenden cause he missed him. I thought that was pretty cute. We picked up Brenden who would of rather stayed with RyanPorter (They have one name haha). We then headed out to Sand cove to try out Moss new raft. Brenden was excited to sit by the boat and told us it was watching cars too haha.
We had a little picnic so we would have some energy to row across the huge lake haha.

Brenden was a little worried at first but got used to it and was excited to be in there with us. He kept saying it was his turn to row.I did most the rowing and finally got it down enough to get us back to shore:) Moss mostly laughed. Brenden was a good helper and pulled the raft out of the water all by himself!

We came home and rested up a bit then headed off to Feista fun to use the other gift certificate we had there too. We just plated arcade games this time cause it was so hot outside. We rocked them though. We seriously got like 5 jackpots on different games...here are pictures to prove it...

We made a haul in the toy department. We ended up with 370 tickets and we still have about 25 coins to use. Brenden was mostly excited about the things that cost 12 tickets but we got excited and got some big stuff too. We then went and wondered around Tj Max, we love to do that there is all sorts of fun treasures there for cheap. I was not planning on buying anything but Brenden convinced Moss he needed this Mack. He has been asking for one for a really long time to Moss said he could get it.
We then went to dinner and Mcdonalds and Brenden ate lots of fries we were very excited about seeing as he does not eat very much ever. First he would feed it to make and then eat it.

We came home and I got impatient and picked a few carrots to see how they were growing...whoops not done yet.We then flew around Moss sweet helicopter Jay and Brynn got him. He loves that thing and so does Brenden. Moss parents also got him some peddles for his bike which I need to do a post about too.We ended the night with a walk and called it a perfect day:)

Fathers Day 2011

Last week it was Fathers day and we got to celebrate Moss and let him know how much we really do love him! At church Brenden made a cute little tie for Moss with his hand print on it. I forgot to get a picture whoops. Then we came home and gave him his present. Brenden was so excited...also he did not want anything to do with clothing at this point so don't mind is near nakedness:)


Brenden is really good at helping unwrap things.

Its a raft, Yes!!

Moss didn't really expect to get a raft but thats what I like to do best haha. He was pretty excited about it. We used it on Thursday for Moss birthday, but I will post about that a little later.

We love our Moss and think he is an AWESOME dad. Brenden is a pretty lucky guy I think to have a dad as devoted and caring as him:)

Our first garden!

This year was the first year we planted a garden. It has been so much fun watching everything grow after our hard work. The best part is how excited Brenden gets. He loves to pick peas and ask to several time a day. Next year will will have to plant more to keep up with his picking.

We also planted some corn which I am really excited about. It is getting bigger and bigger everyday and there are some real corn stalks growing on them!

We also planted some Zucchini that seems to be flourishing right now!

Our peach tree is also growing us some small peaches. I hope our apple tree will produce something next year. Brenden wanted to be in every picture so I had to wait for him to run across the yard to take this picture...

We took this picture a few weeks back after we pick some yummy strawberries. That really were good but some day I hope to grow costco size ones:)

We also have some carrots, watermelon, green onions and tomatoes.

This morning Brenden and I went to check on the garden and we found this awesome huge zucchini which I didn't even know had started growing. I look closer and found about 5 more small ones that are on there way to being a yummy treat! So excited!!! Brenden called it a pea haha. He was so excited to help me pick it.

Girls trip 2011

This last weekend me and my friends got a much needed weekend away. Bret Gates Kristi Stout Brianne Sherwood and Bethany Bundy all went down to Vegas to visit our friend Celeste Caplin and enjoy some Vegas life. We all hopped into our car and started to drive down. I was a little nervous cause I have never really driving very far on the free way but I got over my fear quickly and got use to it in no time. When we were at about Mile 29 my friend remember she forgot to leave the keys for her husband so we had to hide them on the side of the road for her mom to come get later. It was hilarious and a super random way to start the trip. First thing we did when we got there is go see our Friend Celeste and her husband Carl. It was so good to see her and her cute house. We did a little shopping and found these sweet hats:)That night we hit up cheesecake factory were I got called a "kiddo"...haha It was pretty good but we all ate way too much. We then headed to our sweet hotel that was awesome thanks to Brets hook ups. We stayed up until 3:30 talking and almost missed as awesome cooked to order breakfast the next day. It was soooo good! We then headed out shopping at the fashion show mall. We spent about 2 hours and this store...

Later we made it into Banana Republic. It was some high class shopping for me and I was a little surprised when a long hair indian man came out requesting us by name for one of our friends haha.
We spent a few minutes here and I was the only one brave enough to pose for a picture:)


Kristi and I went and got some much needed pedicures where she got ask some really awkward questions about her pregnancy. But she was a good sport about it all. We then went to dinner and then said a sad goodbye to our good friend Celeste. I was so tired and was crying in this picture because I laughing so hard for no reason.

We made it home at about 1:30 am. It was an awesome trip and I am now brave enough to leave Brenden and Moss. Although I almost cried when I heard Brenden's voice on the phone. I love that I still have close friends that I can talk to about anything and I mean anything haha. I hope we can all get together again soon!

That 3 ft person that follows me around...

Everyday I get to spend pretty much every minutes with this little guy named Brenden and I have come to LOVE it. He is growing to be so big and I LOVE that too. He has all sorts of personality bursting out of him and Moss says it cause he is just like me:) Here are a list of funny/cute things about him...

His is obsessed with the word "Hotdog", if we ask him a questions he does not know the answer to he will say..."uh Hotdog". We have no idea where he got it from but it is so cute. Each night after we read a book we let him throw his stuffed animals in his crib and he will yell out "dado hotdog.." So weird...

Today we went into a Dr. office to pick up something I had won and as soon and Brenden saw a nurse he ran out of the office and screamed "NO!" haha

When Brenden does not know where something is or doesn't want to go get it he will tell you "it will be riiiight back". Like the mail key he lost in the grass, it still has not come "riiiight back".

He is obsessed with trucks and Motorcycles. He always has to point them out on the road and make the noise they do.

A couple weeks ago we were on a walk and a dog started to follow us and would go pee on every bush we saw. Brenden wanted to do the same but luckily he only thought the dog was kicking the bushes haha! So he kept going up and kicking it like the dog was.

If he hears a loud noise he will say, "hear that mama?" So cute!

He loves....yogurt, chips, cookies (of course) cheese.

He will ask for some chocolate chips in a bowl then ask you to put milk in it and then ask for a spoon... haha

He calls the hallway to his room a tunnel and if it is dark he says its a scary tunnel.

He also calls overpasses tunnels ever since we went through a real tunnel in California.

He calls his sand box in the backyard his beach.

He always asks to play with "kelsiemacey" (our cute neighbors girls) he thinks they have one name.

When Moss or I get home he says "Miss you too" even if we have not said it yet.

If he doesn't want me to leave him somewhere he will say " wait me mama" I love it!

If he wants a graham cracker he ask for a big cracker...sometimes he falls to sleep eating them...


We love our little man and can't wait to see what other funny things he has in store for us:)

IronMan 2011

This year for the Iron Man Moss and I decided to let Brenden sleep over at Bonnie' house and we would go camp out at the lake. It was really fun to switch things up a bit and spend time with Moss' parents and Supe. After chatting for a hour or so we all headed off to bed to get a few hours of sleep. Moss and I just slept in the back of our car and watch a little bit of a movie. It was pretty sweet and I think I will like camping much more with a our new living quarters. At 4 am we got up and got moving. We had a few meetings and had breakfast and then were boated over to the docks where we would be positioned this year.

We hung out for about an hour. Moss was beaming about to do what he loves best haha.

Then it was time for the rest to start, since we were lifeguards we got a sweet view of the start.



We then got in position on the docks and did our job. It was a lot less exciting this year seeing as we only pulled out 14 people. Last year we pulled out over 70. It was nice for the athletes though and it was fun to cheer for them coming in.
After it was over we got on a platoon boat to get taken back to our cars. We were in the dead center of the lake when almost half the boat nose dived into the water. My worst fear was upon me. We freaked out for a second but after moving some people around and jump starting the boat we were all better. I was a little freaked after that and held close to Moss. It was fun to be apart of again this year. We even got a little sleep and made it down to the finish line for a little while.
Moss was excited to see that most the people he was training finished in pretty good times too.
