A Day with Brayden!

These last two day I have had a chance to really practicing my stay at home mom role by babysitting my nephew Brayden all day long. I was really excited to see kind of how it will be to have a little boy following me around all day. It was not half bad in fact I feel a little lonely now... On Monday Moss made a list of things for me to accomplish during the day, I really like it when he does this because it gets me motivated and I love to check it off when I am done:) This was the list...Brayden was really excited about being able to help me out with all of my chores, he did slow me down a bit at times but he made up for it by keeping me company. The first thing we did on the list was the laundry. He kept trying to close the door after each article of clothing but he figured it eventually.Next we had to organize some boxes in the garage, he is a pretty tough little guy but any of the boxes that had anything in them where a little too heavy so he mostly just look in them and found random stuff to pull out. It was then time to unload the dish washer. He lost interest in that as soon as he found the measuring cup drawer and spend the remainder on the time carefully yelling into each one and seeing what noise it made. Such good help!
We then had to go to the library to check me out a new book, I don't know that Brayd has ever been to the new library of if he has if he remembered it or not because he seemed a little confused about what was going on. He really did enjoy riding the elevator though and playing on the stairs in the kid area. He did start to read one book but then a bully little girl came and stole it from him. Some people kids...Afterwards we went over to the water stuff in the town square and he seemed to enjoy it. He was a little confused at first why there was water shooting everywhere but after a while he was excited to touch it, only of course after I did. He just kept screaming with joy and running around and then he decided that it was too cool and went over to the normal sprinklers that were running. I don't think he understood that those were not suppose to be as much fun but he enjoyed it all the same.
We then ate some lunch and he could not get enough of his mac and cheese! Probably just because it was food and it was in front of him but I like to think that I make it so good that he just couldn't stop. Most of it got in his mouth and the remainder was all over his belly and mouth and of course the floor.Later I had to go pick up Madison from school and I did as every Mom does had a snack waiting for her when she got home. Moss says I probably shouldn't of let her eat three cookies but I have to make her like me right?The rest of the day went pretty good. Madison was a good helper at cleaning the bathrooms and kept asking lots and lots of questions of why something was some way and how somebody could run so fast on Smallville. I didn't have any cartoons to keep her busy and friends probably wasn't appropriate. It was a good day of being a Mom and I think when the time comes I will be able to step up to the plate and do a decent job:)

We Now Know!

Today at 2:00 we went in for our ultra sound. We were both really excited but a bit nervous cause we didn't know what to expect. Also after having to drink 32 oz of water and not use the bathroom for an hour and a half I was a bit uncomfortable. Well the lady took us back to the room and started to do her thing. Right when she put the thing on my belly a little picture showed up on the screen and there it was our baby she moved it around and within 5 seconds I knew exactly what we were having...they were pretty hard to miss if you know what I mean so the verdict is...
She looked around for a few more minutes and then verified my thoughts and pointed "them" out to Moss. I squeezed Moss' hand and we look at each other and I could tell he was really excited! She took a lot of measurements and we got to see him moving around a lot. She said he was really active and would not hold still. After a little while she went to take some pictures of his face and he kept putting his hand in front of his face. It was really funny, he is already acting like his Dad and not wanted too much attention:) I am really excited to have this Boy and I am glad that we finally know. After we got out I went to the bathroom and Moss started to text people. I then let everyone know also and it was nice to hear how excited everyone was for us. We then went to a few stores and bought some outfits. Let me to you though there are a lot more girl clothes out there than boy clothes which is lame because boys have to wear clothes too right? Oh well I will slowly find enough for him. When we came home I walked in a saw a bunch of Blue balloons and little baby things. Bonnie and Joanna must of been around I guess. I was excited it was fun to look at all the cool stuff. Thanks you guys!!! Here is what I got and some of that they got me I think they are pretty cute clothes. They have so many pajamas out there and not many real clothes so I will have to keep my eyes open.
I love soft blankets this will for sure be the kind of blankets you take with you to sacrameeting so you can be comfy when it gets a little long. Moss says I can't just still them from the baby but I will share most the time.

Almost that time...

On Friday we will find out what we are having! We are really excited! Only two more days. I am excited to know that I can start picking out cute outfits and be able to figure out with bedroom set I need to finish sewing. Lots of people ask what we want to have, at first I kind of wanted a Boy not really sure why but I did. Moss has wanted a girl from the start and lately I have started to want one too mostly just because he wants one. I know that sounds lame but I guess we will see what happens come Friday. I will post right away and also send out a text to anyone who I think will be interested:)
This last week I have been having lots of fun. On Monday Bret, Celeste and Courtney came over and we did some swimming and lots of talking about random things. It was really fun to get together I think everyone that has a job should quit and just come hang out with me at my pool. Sound good?Ok!
On Sunday we had a little scare, I woke up in lots of pain in my abs and could hardly walk. Moss was really nice to me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be and told me a few things to try and I started to feel better. The rest of the day I had a little bit of pain but nothing I couldn't handle. Moss was really cute and asked me how I was feeling several times and did lots of things for me. We decided if I didn't feel better by Monday we would call the Doctors office. I woke up on Monday and still hurt so I called in and got an appointment for later that day. I was a little nervous and new as soon as I heard that heartbeat everything would be ok. So we went in and everything was ok! The lady told me the exact same thing Moss had and told me the same medicine to take. I guess there is a reason Bonnie calls Moss Dr. Moss ha ha. I was just glad to hear the heartbeat I can't wait to see it on Friday !

Lots of Updates!

Ok I know it has been forever but just lots of things have been going on for us, lots of changes for me. I will do a quick update I no longer work at the Dr. office. It was pretty much not worth it at all. I was angry a lot because we never got out of there on time. I spent many hours on hold with insurance companies finding out information that we already knew and the office manager not the easiest lady to get along with. I will miss being able to talk to my good friend Lauren there; we had some good conversations about life and our opinions and different things. The only reason I lasted as long as I did was because of her. I wanted to go part time and the lady was not too happy about that so yeah, I decided I was done, with some of her coaxing of course being a jerk to me and all but whatever I am so much happier now:) I had one day of being a stay at home wife but then my Dad heard the news and called me up to go help him set up stuff down in Mesquite for the Sears he is opening. I decided I could do that for a few weeks and make some money all the while helping my Dad. The drive down with him and Russell and Timmy is always fun because we get to talk about such good things that are going on in our lives and help each other with problems and no one ever is rude to each other... YEAH RIGHT! haha if you know my family at all well at least the boys you would know we say Hi to each other and that is about it. I try to start conversations some times but I just get a weird look, oh well:) I have worked so hard down there holy cow... I have unboxed about 80 appliances. It is hard work too especially when there is something growing in my stomach that doesn't appreciate it when I am crawling around the floor and doing about 100 squats a day while cutting through cardboard. I am sure to take plenty of breaks though just ask my dad:) It has been overwhelming at times but mostly pretty fun because I get to work by myself a lot and put stuff together which I love! So that is what has been going on with me. Moss is still working really hard at Summit and we are still enjoying the perks of it. But I will just say that sometimes it is not a good idea to be prepared... Moss' boss told us some people were going to be moving into this house we are in so we would be headed down to boulder springs to live there. I was pretty excited about it cause with a baby on the way it would be better to have a smaller house and not so much tile everywhere and not a pool to worry about. Well he told us the guy just had to go home and talk to his wife about it and we would have to be out by August first. This was on July 23 so the next day I didn't have work and decided I would pack up because we wouldn't have any other day to do it. I work and work really fast and pretty much had all of the house packed up except for a few outfits and dishes. On Friday we got the call that the people had backed out... so there we were all packed up and ready to leave and we were not going to be. The worst part is is that the people said they wanted to think about it for another month and maybe move in September 1st. So I unpacked a few things and we are still living out of boxes a little bit. Moral of the story don't be prepared because its a lot of work unpreparing:)
Well what is a post with out pictures? Boring mostly since most people don't even read anything on here so I will throw in a few from a hike and climb we did back in June. I promised I climb but Moss was holding the rope for me and couldn't take pictures but I got a bunch of Moss. He did way good and climbed really fast good work!

Summer Fun

This summer has been full or long days at work but there has been a few times where we have been able to get out and have some fun. In June we went with Moss' family on the Family Camp. It was really fun to be able to get away from it all and enjoy some time with Moss' family. We played horse shoes and I totally rock at it. My team won and I got us lots of the points. I mean why wouldn't I be good check out my form:)


We spent a lot of time just talking around the campfire which was nice cause we don't see Moss' family near as much as we see mine.

Moss and I had lots of fun times swinging in the hammock. I even took a nap on there for awhile it was pretty comfy. On Friday Lance took us to some sweet caves and even some hot spring that Moss enjoyed throughly.

This is how we got there...Good thing we love each other. Moss' dad apologized for the few bumps that he may have missed:)

In case you have not heard...

About two months ago on Mothers day I called Moss into the computer room and told him I had a sweet slide show to show him and I would like you all to see it too...








We are expecting if you can't tell! After I showed Moss the slide show he was like are you sure? I said I think so and showed him the test. The line was really faint but it was still there. We decided not to get to excited just in case we really weren't. The following Friday I could not wait any longer so I took a test and pick up a little pacifier to give to Moss just in case it was a positive. It was one of the digital test so this time I would know for sure or not. So I took the test and then waited. Wow that was a really long three minutes. I was trying to tell my self that I wasn't so I would not be too disappointed if I was not. I really didn't think I was because it is just so crazy to think of being pregnant. Well I finally walked into the bathroom and there it was in big print PREGNANT. Holy cow it was unreal, I started to run around the house smiling and jumping up and down (I am sure the little baby enjoyed that). I was like I need to tell Moss so I called him up and told him to come home for lunch he said I am in the middle of something so it might be awhile. I said I am really hungry so please hurry. He was like ok I will try. Well that was another long wait for him to get home. I got the pacifier and the pregnancy test and put them in the cupboard and starting to make some OJ so I would have an excuse to ask him to get me a cup. Well he finally got home and seemed a little bugged but I just kindly ask him to get me a cup. Well he got me a cup but was looking at the tv so I asked again and the same thing happen. I asked one more time and said I needed a specific cup. He was like um ok. He say it and turned around and look like this.
That is pretty much all he did the rest of the day, didn't really say much but she smiled and was in shock. I got it all of video too so that will be fun to watch later on. He just turned around and said really? I said yup he said oh wow. Moss and I decided after we got health insurance that we would start trying in May we thought it may take a few months at least but yeah it took about two days...I guess it was meant to be:) We had our first doctors appointment on June 26th and told both are families that weekend. It was my Dads birthday so we got him a card that said Happy Birthday Grandpa and some little kid toys and inside the card said I am excited to see you in January I hope you will let me play with these toys. My dad just said WHAT! It was really funny everyone else was pretty shocked, well except for Bonnie cause she knew since the day I found out. It really hard to keep secrets from her. Madison even knew since about then and she kept it a secret this whole time. Thats pretty tough for a five year old. Moss and I have been a little antzy and already started to buy stuff like the crib...


We found a diaper bag too that was manly enough that Moss would carry around. Its not even a real diaper bag just a swiss army shoulder bag but it looks like it will work really good. As fair as how the pregnancy has been going I feel nauseas a lot and tired all the time. I have pretty much been really lazy but Moss has been so good at keeping the house looking great and making sure I am feeling ok. Thanks Honey! At our first appointment we got to hear the heartbeat end one of the perks of working at your OBGYN they even brought out the ultra sound machine. It was cool to see it in there although it looked like a little bug but thats ok. It still seems really surreal. Moss and I are way excited and can't wait to attempt this together!
