That 3 ft person that follows me around...

Everyday I get to spend pretty much every minutes with this little guy named Brenden and I have come to LOVE it. He is growing to be so big and I LOVE that too. He has all sorts of personality bursting out of him and Moss says it cause he is just like me:) Here are a list of funny/cute things about him...

His is obsessed with the word "Hotdog", if we ask him a questions he does not know the answer to he will say..."uh Hotdog". We have no idea where he got it from but it is so cute. Each night after we read a book we let him throw his stuffed animals in his crib and he will yell out "dado hotdog.." So weird...

Today we went into a Dr. office to pick up something I had won and as soon and Brenden saw a nurse he ran out of the office and screamed "NO!" haha

When Brenden does not know where something is or doesn't want to go get it he will tell you "it will be riiiight back". Like the mail key he lost in the grass, it still has not come "riiiight back".

He is obsessed with trucks and Motorcycles. He always has to point them out on the road and make the noise they do.

A couple weeks ago we were on a walk and a dog started to follow us and would go pee on every bush we saw. Brenden wanted to do the same but luckily he only thought the dog was kicking the bushes haha! So he kept going up and kicking it like the dog was.

If he hears a loud noise he will say, "hear that mama?" So cute!

He loves....yogurt, chips, cookies (of course) cheese.

He will ask for some chocolate chips in a bowl then ask you to put milk in it and then ask for a spoon... haha

He calls the hallway to his room a tunnel and if it is dark he says its a scary tunnel.

He also calls overpasses tunnels ever since we went through a real tunnel in California.

He calls his sand box in the backyard his beach.

He always asks to play with "kelsiemacey" (our cute neighbors girls) he thinks they have one name.

When Moss or I get home he says "Miss you too" even if we have not said it yet.

If he doesn't want me to leave him somewhere he will say " wait me mama" I love it!

If he wants a graham cracker he ask for a big cracker...sometimes he falls to sleep eating them...


We love our little man and can't wait to see what other funny things he has in store for us:)

IronMan 2011

This year for the Iron Man Moss and I decided to let Brenden sleep over at Bonnie' house and we would go camp out at the lake. It was really fun to switch things up a bit and spend time with Moss' parents and Supe. After chatting for a hour or so we all headed off to bed to get a few hours of sleep. Moss and I just slept in the back of our car and watch a little bit of a movie. It was pretty sweet and I think I will like camping much more with a our new living quarters. At 4 am we got up and got moving. We had a few meetings and had breakfast and then were boated over to the docks where we would be positioned this year.

We hung out for about an hour. Moss was beaming about to do what he loves best haha.

Then it was time for the rest to start, since we were lifeguards we got a sweet view of the start.



We then got in position on the docks and did our job. It was a lot less exciting this year seeing as we only pulled out 14 people. Last year we pulled out over 70. It was nice for the athletes though and it was fun to cheer for them coming in.
After it was over we got on a platoon boat to get taken back to our cars. We were in the dead center of the lake when almost half the boat nose dived into the water. My worst fear was upon me. We freaked out for a second but after moving some people around and jump starting the boat we were all better. I was a little freaked after that and held close to Moss. It was fun to be apart of again this year. We even got a little sleep and made it down to the finish line for a little while.
Moss was excited to see that most the people he was training finished in pretty good times too.

Easter 2011

For Easter weekend this year we had Moss' family over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. It was fun to get a bunch of us together and I think the kids loved finding the eggs. Last week Brenden went to our cute neighbor girls Birthday party and they had a little egg hunt there and he LOVED it. So I was really excited for him this year. He kept saying Mama look an egg...haha. Brenden loved his chocolate egg from Grandma and Grandpa:)


That night Moss and I went and got ourselves a new present...an Ipad 2:) We loved messing around with it that night and Brenden loves to play the games on it too.

On Sunday we went to a very good church meeting and then headed home to have our own little celebration. Brenden and Moss came running inside to get looking
Brenden was a pro at finding the eggs and loved doing it.
Then it was Mom's turn to find her stuff...
Moss got me some yummy stuff this year:)
Next was Moss' turn to find his surprise... he looked all over...

Then found a remote control water craft:) Brenden was excited about it too.

We later went to my Mom's house for Dinner another Easter egg hunt where Brenden also got a fun truck book. I love holidays with a little buddy that are so fun.

My 23rd Birthday

This years birthday was really low key because it was on Sunday but we went out Friday night to celebrate. My mom watched Brenden so Moss and I could go see limitless. It was fun to go to a movie and sit next to my man. Afterwards we went and bought me some new flip flops for this summer. They are a little more girly than I usual get cause I usually go for comfort but this year it was all about style.


Next we headed to Olive Garden and played our usually rock game as we waited. People think we are weird but I think we entertain them during the wait haha...

Dinner was lots of fun and very good. It's weird when you go without a kid you run out of things to talk about haha.

The next morning I went and got my hair did. Moss wanted it blond so I went really blond and got a good trim. I will never go back to not having a style for my hair it just makes things easier and I look a lot better:)

It was conference Saturday and Brenden was really into it, every time a song would come on he would grab his guitar and play and sing along.


He surprisingly got really into conference and when someone would stop speaking he would say, "one more time" haha.

Saturday night during my sisters and I got together to do a craft. I love when we all get together and hang out. We made these cute things...

Sunday morning was my actaully birthday. Moss made me yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then we sat down for conference. I really liked the first 3 talks in the morning.

During the break Moss gave me my presents. I have been wanting this electrical cord you hang from your garage for a long time. I know it's weird but My dad had one and I loved it. He also got me a thing so we can watch Netflix in our room too so we don't have to move the Wii all around.

We then went up to my parents house and watched the second session and had my favorite meal Lasagna. It was fun to be with family but I am fine to wait a few more years for another Sunday birthday.
That night Brenden wanted me to draw a picture of him. I drew it and he said "scary" and kept turning it over and walking away. haha it was so funny...I guess it does look a little "scary".
Brenden had a first this morning. He look at me and said, "why mama?" He has now ask me that same questions at least 20 times today. Let the curious stage begin...

"Mama look a Kangaroo?"

Brenden and I were out watering the plants a few days ago and he had been taking water back over the patio. He ran over to me and said "mama mama, a Kangaroo". I was really confused but I followed him over to the cement and he pointed to this...

Oddly enough it does look like a Kangaroo. I just started to laugh and could not stop. Having a two year old running around is awesome and I love it!

Just living our life…

Nothing too excited has happen to us recently we all had a go around with the flu which was not fun at all. Brenden did think it was fun to run about with this bowl on his head and yell, “yee haw,  yee haw”. It was hilarious and he kept it up for about a half hour. It brought some joy to a otherwise lame day.

Brenden is still into taking the camera and snapping pictures. Here is one that he actually got most my face in. I thought it was worth documenting…

On a late night trip to Wal-mart, (we end up there a lot when we are board haha) we got Brenden this car backpack that he loves. He was not really into cars until he watched it at Grandma with the kitty’s house. (Lillywhite…That’s how we explain which house we are going to  haha). Ever since there he has been really into anything cars. So that night we got him this backpack and also some swim shorts he insists on wearing all the time.  

Brenden also loves to take baths. Getting a bath by yourself pretty much is non existent in this house. As soon as he hears the water filling up he runs in and start to attempt to take his clothes off so he can hop in. This day was a bubble day and I may have put in a little too much whoops haha. He loved it though.

When bananas go bad I hear your are suppose to make banana bread so that it what we did. I had never done it before and I actually had to borrow a bread pan from my awesome neighbor. Brenden was so excited to help stir he pushed over the chair all by himself. He did a pretty good job.

The result. Not too bad I thought.

It got a little windy on Friday so we did a little kite flying. Brenden thought it was awesome and of course it was a Car kite. He did pretty good until he let go of it and it floated over to the neighbors yard haha.

While we were out there this jet flew by. Now that the airport is over here there are lots of these through out the day but luckily they are not very loud just fun to look at.

Brenden and I both got new things to wear to church. He looked so dang cute and actually didn’t complain too much about having to wear so many layers.

So that is our life as of late nothing too crazy going on but lots of fun. We are way excited for spring time and the things it holds.

FHE at Feista Fun:)

Last week for Family Home Evening we headed over to Feista fun. I was so excited because I knew Brenden was going to love it which means we would love it. Watching you kids experience things for the first time is so fun. We walked in and he ran as fast as his little stubby legs would carry him over to the "cycle". He looks so determined here I love it.

We peeled him off of that and went and played a round of Mini golf. He was so excited to "hit ball" as he kept calling it. My boys ready to play.

The first hole he hit it all the way from the start...

but eventually he figured out it was easier to just carry it right next to the hole and then hit it in haha.

He was really good at letting Mom and Dad take a turn and only got in the way of my ball once. Moss was pretty good but yours truly got not one but two holes in one! Yeah I rock!



We then headed in to play our 39 tokens in the arcade. I am pretty sure Moss and I had just as much fun as Brenden did. It reminded me of the good ol' days at Cherry hill.

After all was said and done and Moss had won first prize on the motorcycle game we counted up all our tickets and ended up with 105!


That succesfully in the arcade world got us a plastic duck and shark and a paper airplane haha!

It was a lot of fun and I want to start doing more stuff like this with Brenden because he is only little once:)
