July 24th 2012

This year Brenden and I were looking for some fun stuff to do on Pioneer day so lucky we passed by all this fun stuff going on at the park. It was raining off and on but we decided to brave the rain for a little fun.  Brenden sifted for some gold...

 He also got a sweet spiderman drawing on his hand. He was so excited and ask me to take a picture of it.

 We played lots of games and Brenden got  a little prize for each on and even a snow cone. He liked to pick out the prizes that has red white and blue on them because he said they looked like Captian America. He as so excited to show Daddy what we got when he got home.

 That night we headed to the community center to watch some sweet fire works with most the family. Afterwards we went to Bonnie's house and did a few fireworks and sparklers. It was fun to have another day to celebrate:)

Crafts crafts crafts...

Moss has been working like crazy lately since Summit got  a new owner (thank goodness) so I have had a lot of time for random crafts and finishing up projects. The first thing I did was get a little quilt made for Eliza, to match her room decor. I found just the fabric I wanted down in Vegas and was excited to get started.
It is just simple but I love it. 

Moss told me he wanted a quilt made for him out of his old T shirts so I got to work on that. It took a bit longer but I worked on it every night for a few days and got it done. I know if I don't get stuff done when I am excited about it it wont' happen.

The biggest project was painting Eliza's room. It took a little convincing but I got to agree to let me paint some stripes in her room. I was really excited and went to the store right away to get the supplies. Taping took forever but after Moss helps I felt good about it and was brave enough to start painting the next day. Brenden even got in on it too:)

Next I redid Brenden's mobile to match the new colors in Eliza's room. The flowers were a little hard cause they were to small but they turned out pretty good. I may add some puff balls to it later on.

One night while watching a movie I was bored just sitting there so thanks to pinterest I found an easy pattern for a diaper clutch and made this sweet thing.

Pinterest also inspired me to make one of these...

Thanks to an awesome website where you can get way cheap baby stuff. www.nobetterdeal.com I was able to get my dream car seat for only 50 bucks instead of 80. Once I had the color scheme I was able to start on my carseat cover. It was so so easy thanks to yet again pinterest:)

I know I have forever still for this little girl to get here but I am preparing the best I can. I wish I could gather up my sleep right now too so I won't be exhausted once she gets here but I don't think that really works haha. She is growing awesome and she can stay in there til November that is okay with me. Then I will have lots of time to cuddle her. I am so excited to see Brenden interact with her. Although the other day when we were at the doctors appointment a baby started to cry and Brenden plugged his ears and seemed annoyed. That boy has no idea what is coming, and sorry Brenden but you have not room to talk about screaming babies you did that plenty :)

July 4th 2012

 This fourth of July was another fun day spent at the park. The good part about it was that it was not too hot this year:) We went to the park and Brenden had a blast playing all the games there. I love how much he enjoys games and it not shy. First he did a obstacle course that was bring run my Uncle Timmy. It was so cute because he was pretty young compared to the other kids doing it but he did it like a champ and looked so cute doing it and was so happy to.

Next Moss and him went on a train ride, which he also loved.

We then hit up the barrel ride that we have to do every time it is there.

 That night we had a fun BBQ with Moss' family but sadly I forgot to take pictures. It was super yummy food and fun to chat with everyone.

After picking up flags with the scouts we headed into the park to watch the fire works.

 

 Moss got a fun treat of root beer and taffy. He was nice and shared with everyone.

 That night we headed to the park to meet up with the rest of the family. Brenden had a blast playing swords with his good friend Cam.

 Afterwards we went to Heathers house and did some fireworks that were a little smaller. Brenden loved the sparkler though.

Moss' 28th Birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated Moss' birthday. We got ready in the morning and headed into Mcdonald's because he loves their breakfast. After eating a super yummy breakfast we drove around town and tried to find something fun to do but just ended up back at home. I was feeling so tired that day which Moss was probably secretly excited about so he could play his computer game for awhile.We then opened presents.

He got a shirt and some snacks and a little outfit for Eliza that says I love daddy. 

 After Brenden and I got a rest we headed into town to have lunch at Judd's. Before we got there Moss noticed something on the Summit sign... good thing his wife knows how to hack that sign :)

 We got some breadsticks and soda and walked over to the town square and watch Brenden play while we ate. Then we joined in with him.

You can't go to town square with out going on the carousel so we hit that up too.

We came back home and I napped again so Moss played his game some more:)
We headed to Sakura for dinner and it was super yummy! Brenden was scared of the fire but loved everything else about it.

Then it was time for the family reunion end party at the city pool. It was fun to go back to where it all began with Moss and I. Brenden went down the hydro tube not kidding 15 or more times. He loved it! We will have to go there again sometime.

It was my aunts birthday too so we had a cake for both of them and sang.

Someday we will go someone awesome and exotic for Moss birthday but for now we enjoy simple little things and love to be together. I love having Moss as my best friend and a dad to Brenden. Thanks for sharing it with us Moss. We love you!!!

Father's Day 2012

Sunday morning Moss woke up to an excellent Breakfast made by me! He was quite impressed because in our house he is usually the one preparing non traditional meals but I took my time on pintrest and found this yummy recipe on best bites. They are like little hollow pancake balls and they are delicious.

We all got ready for church and gave Moss his present, a nice watch that he can wear to church.

I kept telling Brenden he needed to be nice to Moss cause it was his special day but he kept insisting it was his special day... Moss is such a great Father and works so hard for our family. Working doing scouts every week and working on his Masters really could tire a person our but he takes it like a champ. We love you Moss/Daddy!

We are having a...

On Tuesday Moss and my stomach were in knots as we sat waiting to be called back to the room. Finally it was our turn and we were so excited and scared. The tech put the thing on my belly and we could see our little persons heartbeat going strong. We both let out a sigh of relief but still held a little of it in until she checked the brain and made sure everything else was perfect. I kept asking her is that normal is that normal, she probably was sick of me but that's what moms do right? After making sure all was well she tried to see if our future was pink or blue. At first the little persons legs were crossed and it took a lot of prodding to get them to open them up but we kept seeing little glimpse and finally she got a good look to tell us we are having a little GIRL! I got a little teary eyed and Moss squeezed my hand even harder than he already was. It was such a fun experience and so happy everything went perfect. I said there is our little Eliza:) Some people think it is weird to name your kid before you even see it but I like to have something to call them to make it more personal than the "girl" inside of me. Moss suggested the name when we first got married and I instantly fell in love with it. Its just so perfect for our family.  The tech printed us out 9 pictures and we were happy again. I asked for a movie of it so I could show Brenden. He so wanted to come but since I promised him a movie of it he agreed to hang out with Bonnie instead. Here is out little girl...

We met up with Bonnie at Target and she saw my face and said I bet it's a girl haha. I brought in the picture and showed Brenden first off and he smiled and said oh cute! He is so into little things right now and always says its so cute and tiny. I told him she was a girl and he smiled. We then texted some family and friends and got lots of congratulation back. We feel very loved!

Later that night Brenden wanted to look at the pictures every 5 minutes:)

We tried to show him the video but it was not working I was SO SAD! We tried it on the computer and it kept saying it was blank. In a last effort I tried it on the old desktop we have and after a quick pray before I put it in. IT WORKED! I was so happy I jump around:) We got to watch the movie and Brenden loved it as we tried to describe what we saw. The best part is when she sucks on her thumb and you can see her little tongue moving.

The next morning when he woke up he asked to watch the movie of our baby again. He is a cute little guy and though his world will be rocked when the screaming child gets here I think he is going to like her:)

The sewing has started and thanks to Joann's moving sale I made these skirts for only ten bucks!

 This years Iron man was a little different in that we almost all died. Okay maybe that is an over statement but it was a bit more exciting then we planned on. We got out there on Friday night. We left Brenden with Heather to have his sleep over with Cam that he has been asking for for the last 5 months. We had a little meeting at the lake and then Moss taught some guards how to use the rescue boards. We got bored after that so I taught Moss parents how to wonder around Wal-mart with nothing in mind to buy. They thought I was a little weird but I gave them some good tips if they ever take up the sport.
We slept in our car that not and slept okay. It was hard to not sleep on my belly but since I didn't want to squash my baby I had to find another way to get some sleep. Four AM came pretty early but we were ready to start out long day. We got everything set up and got boated over to the start line.

The athletes started to file into the water and Moss and I stood guard in case anyone tripped at died... It looked like it was going to be a great race with warm water and no waves. We were very wrong, about twenty mins into the race it looked like this...

With constant twenty mile an hour winds and gust  up to 50 miles per hour it was intense to say the least. I was glad morning sickness had skipped me this day or I would of been puking like crazy from sea sickness added on. In the end the guard pulled between 300 and 400 people from the water and eventually all the guards for pulled from the water too and tried not to freeze to death. We were very happy when we got the news everyone was accounted for. I felt so bad for the athletes that got pulled out they prepared for a 2.4 mile swim and a lake not against ocean like waves. The Iron man people were nice and let them keep  going with an unofficial time which was better then nothing. Next year it will only be a half Iron man but it should still be fun. Not sure if I will be much help with a 6 month old crawling around but we will see.
