Brenden keeping busy

Brenden has been finding lots of random things to keep him busy lately and ever night get so mad when the sun goes to bed and it gets "darking". The little boy would stay up all night finding all sorts of fun things to do if we would let him. He usually goes to bed at about 10:30 which is plenty late for a boy his age so we thing he is spoiled at least a little. A few days ago when it was raining outside he though it would be  a perfect time to wash his bike. He came in and got all sorts of things like Windex a vacuum attachment and a rag to name a few and went to town. Every time we would go somewhere and come back home he would head right back out there to get his work done. 

 Though are child is super cute he can be just as sneaky. The last few days he had been eating a lot of cookies and since he tends not to eat very much I was happy he was at least eating something. But come to find out this was not the case. We were watching cartoons one night and a song about cookies came on, so Brenden casually walks over to he tv stand and starts grabbing things and setting this on the coffee table...

 Apparently he had been licking the cream out of the center and then shoving them under the T.V. stand. Moss and I could not stop laughing and where trying to hide it from Brenden. We had a talk about not storing our food in random places and making sure to finish it before we got another one. I can't get too angry because I specifically remember doing the same thing in our big red van when I was little. I would eat the cream out then though them under the seat on a trip somewhere. My mom was not happy when she found my stash haha. 

Last Saturday Brenden and I headed out to the kite festival to have some fun and to watch Madison sing. Moss was at a scout camp out so he could not join us. I kept telling Brenden we were going to ride a bus and he was so excited! When we finally arrived he kept pointing the buses out to me. He was so excited to ride in a bus especially cause he did not have to wear a seat belt. 

 After watching Madison sing, we walked around and saw some fun stuff. Brenden got his picture taken with Thor! He was so happy about it!

Then we found a sandbox to play in. 

Last but not least Brenden went on his annual rocket ride. He was so excited and smiled a huge smile the whole time. After that we finally said we could go home, well ride the  bus back to our car first. 

Brenden loves to hang out with his daddy and Moss loved it just as much I am pretty sure. Yesterday Brenden found his hat that is just like daddy's. He got it when he was about 6 months so it is a little small but he did not care and wanted to wear it anyway. He also needed to have sunglasses like daddy and when Moss was on his phone he needed to be on his too. I love my two boys!

When Brenden and I get bored sometimes we head into Moss' work and see what we can help him with. Brenden had found an old spin bike in the back that he works on every time we go there. He is going to have that thing up and running in no time;) It is so cute to watch him follow Moss around and try to help him with everything. 

 A few things about Brenden lately is that is officially potty trained and we could not be happier. It took a few days of making him go but after that he kind of just caught on and takes care of it himself now. Its so cute cause he comes up to me and says." Mama I have to go potty!" I say ok go and he said ok and runs off  haha. One day he did come out of the bathroom and casually mention this..."I peed on my head..." I was like what?!?! It was really funny how calm he was about it. So we washed his hair and told him to try not to do it again. When I told him later that night to not pee on the floor he said ok and I won't pee on my head either haha.

Yesterday Brenden and I got in a little tif about who should shut the door. He said you opened the door last night and daddy did the other night, I said Brenden I don't know how to fight with you sometimes. He looked at me and said, " yeah you do mama you say ya huh and then I say na uh". He was literally telling me how to argue with him haha. It was so funny!

Easter Weekend 2012

Our Easter celebration started off on Friday afternoon when we got together with Moss family for a picnic and egg hunt. Brenden was really excited to see his cousins and loved to play with them for a few hours. We ate lunch first and then went up on the red hill to have a fun hunt.

On Saturday we had a super fun afternoon at the art festival and Brenden was so excited to ride the horses. Promising him that was the only way we got him to walk around with us looking at stuff. I think we will go there a lot this summer.

On Easter day we woke up and had a few close calls with the Easter bunny not showing up because Brenden decided to pour out a whole bottle of soap on the tv stand but after he help clean it up and apologized the Easter bunny stopped by when he was in the bath.

He was so excited to walk around looking and got so excited every time he found one.


He also found his "basket" which this year was a spiderman bike with training wheels. He loved it and we have gone on three bike rides already. Sometimes he crashes on it and tells me he does not want it anymore but if I leave him a lone he will eventually get back on.

Moss got a shirt that he loved and some candy and I got some candy.

Moss also got a new tire and I got a dress. Here is our family looking all dressed up.

After church we headed up to my parents house where we had dinner and then had another easter egg hunt. Brenden loved it once again and even scored a cd that has fun kids songs on it. The eggs also had hugs and kisses in them form Grandma and Grandpa and one egg had a dollar from Great Grandma Key.

Holiday are so fun with Brenden and can't wait for the next one.
In other news my pregnancy is going well. I had two weeks where I felt sick most the day but nothing horrible. I am feeling very good physically but my hormones change on an hourly bases, which Moss is such a fan of I am sure:) I am trying to be good so Moss will maybe let me have another one after this but we will see:) Here I am at 10 weeks.

Happy 24th to me!

I am getting old but at least I got presents for it right? I am still young for another year I guess because 25 is when you really start hitting the getting old milestones haha. The say started off with Moss coming and waking me up and saying get ready to go to breakfast. On the way over my dad told me to listen to the radio and I got to hear my name on the radio. I love that my dad does that for all us kids. He even got my age right;) We ended up at the egg and I and had a very delicious breakfast.


After we came home and opened presents. Brenden was super excited about helping me open my presents and did a great job.

Moss got me exactly what I asked for he even picked out three pairs of shoes himself. I was very happy about that. I got a much needed new white shirt two pairs of sandals some sleeper and a new brush.

We then headed into the mall to get my ears pierced I was really nervous but super excited at the same time. Moss was cute and stayed by me the whole time and helped pick out the studs.

Moss then gave me 40 dollars and said go find an outfit. So while he played me Brenden I got to shop:) He was good at giving opinions too and not rushing me when I had to go to a billion stores to find leggings.

We then came home and Moss went into work for a meeting and I took a nap:) The baby was really nice to me and I did not feel sick all day. What a nice birthday present. I have been feeling kind of crappy the last week but I think the worst part it over.

Moss came home and got me and we headed to Ulta and he handed me another 40 bucks and said have fun. I got some really fun stuff and again he did not rush me and was really good at keeping Brenden happy.

We then dropped Brenden off to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa with the Puppies. He was super excited and said bye mama have fun. I love that he is good at getting left places now.

We went to Outback and had a super yummy dinner and some good time to chat. We then talked with the Easter bunny about what he should get Brenden. I think he is going to have a good easter:)

We headed back to my parents and took Brenden on some motorcycle rides.

We came home and Moss gave me one last present of playing phase ten with me. I won:)

We ended the night with some cheesecake. At dinner Moss and I noticed we both have not had a birthday cake in a long time so we made up for that:)

Brenden even liked it even though he kept calling it a cup cake. He was so cute when we sang and kept singing so great!

I loved my birthday and felt really special with all the birthday wishes through text and facebook. I am excited for my 24th year and excited to see what it holds:)

Baby on the way

Yesterday moss and I got to go in for our eight week ultrasound and see our little gummy bear growing inside of me. I was extremely nervous especially when we got back to the same room where we found out we had lost our last one. The tech was super nice and sensitive to our nerves. We got all settled in and up on the screen was a tiny little cute baby. It took a few seconds that lasted forever but there it was a fast tiny little heart beat 167 beats per minute to be exact. We all let out a sigh of relief. Moss had not been showing any nerves but when we saw everything was good I could then tell he had been nervous by his excitement and relief on his face. She measured everything she needed to and said I was right on schedule and that she would see us in a couple months. I was super excited to get some pictures and even though you can't tell much of what anything is they are still so precious to see the glimpse of our little person. I am still pretty nervous about everything and only time will clammy nerves but if all goes well we should have this little one the first of November. I will be sure to update the blog as time goes on.

Random Fun

I went through my phone today and found some pictures I wanted to put on here. Today this is how we got the mail... Superman style!

Brenden has pretty much never been on a nap schedule and just falls to sleep at random. It works for my personality and makes for some cute sleeping pictures. This time we were driving in our little car and he was chewing on something super safe I bet ha ha.

Brenden LOVES to watch Phineas and Ferb and I will admitt Moss and I do to. He does not learn very much from the show (except how to be awesome!) But it is just so funny to even Moss and I. we found these guys on clearance at K-mart a while back and he loves them.

Many of our afternoon are spent and Bonnie's house because our house is boring sometimes. One day while being over there I looked outside and Brenden was just cruising around on Hailee's bike. I had no idea he knew how to ride a bike and so well too. We have since spent many nights riding the bikes and Wal-mart and Brenden is hoping the Easter Bunny will bring him one.

Brenden loves to be a worker and build stuff in the backyard. One day we built this masterpiece it stood for a little while at least.

Fun surprise

Moss text me one morning and said come into summit now. Quite often he will text me and ask me to come in and hang out with him but this time it was a bit different. Brenden and I got ready real fast and headed in. I walked up the stairs and saw my favorite piano player ever Jon Schmidt and his fiend Steve the amazing cello player. I walked over all star stuck and said hi. Moss then introduced Jon to brenden and told him how his love song/napolian was one of the very few things that would keep brenden from crying in his first six months of life. Jon said he had one just like that but now he is all grown up and on a mission and doing amazing:) after watching them make parts of a video I ask for a picture and they were more than happy to take one. They are seriously such nice guys and kept making sure they were not getting in the way of people at summit. Brenden was being really shy but finally gave Jon and Steve a high five. He was too shy to look at the camera for the picture though. I am excited to see the music video when it's done in a few weeks. Moss was so cute to keep it a secret for a day and surprise me.

My superman

My little dude that I get to hang out with all the time loved to dress up in his superman outfit. Awhile ago he was in it and said "Mama I can catch you, jump!'. So as any mother would do I jump on my kid. Okay not really but it did freak him out a bit but eventually he "caught" me. He kept saying how strong he was and how he is so big. It was so cute, too bad in this family he will be able to catch his father long before he catches me:)Another one of Brenden's favorite past time is playing "hutball" he is always asking if we will play with him. So we move the coffee table and get our game on. He usually just runs around and chucks the ball at random.
His favorite part is to "crash" which his word for tackle. Oh how he makes me smile:)
